Zina Francine Aleksövrock (born 18 June 1987) is a Lashardian singer, songwriter, dancer, and model, best known for being one of the original members of Layla Jane.
Life and career[]
Early life[]
Aleksövrock was born on 18 June 1987 in the Jorden district of Ubenmoor. Her father Aleks, was a poet and freelance journalist, while her mother Andrina was a former fashion model who worked as a self-employed potter. She described her parents as "hippie bohemians". She was an only child and grew up middle class.
Aleksövrock attended primary school in Jorden, where she grew fond of art, music, dance, and writing. After graduating from primary school in 2002, she began attending a small performing arts school in her hometown with a specialization in dance. She graduated in 2005, and subsequently began working as a dancer and choreographer.
2007–present: Work with Layla Jane[]
In 2007, Aleksövrock auditioned for Akai Music Group's upcoming girl group, and was selected to be a member. She has performed with the group since then, being the only original member remaining. Aleksövrock also works as the group's choreographer and is involved in the songwriting of most of their songs.
Personal life[]
Aleksövrock resides in the Jorden district of Ubenmoor. She has identified herself as bisexual, stating that she's had successful relationships with both men and women.
