Pegga Madelina Parvo (born 1 September 1997) is a Lashardian singer and songwriter. She first came to prominence during season two of The X Factor: Lashardia.
Life and career[]
Early life[]
Parvo was born on 1 September 1997 in Fermeska, Skaarsland to an Adoriamian-speaking family who've resided in the Fermeska area for generations. Her mother Gina, was a hairdresser, while her father Viktor was a former general of the Lashardian army. She has an older sister. Parvo's parents divorced when she was four years old, and her mother remarried five years later. She was subsequently raised by her mother and stepfather.
Parvo attended primary school in Fermeska, where she was quiet and excelled in reading and writing. Despite enjoying music, she did not perform on stage until she was sixteen due to crippling stage fright. After graduating from primary school, she began attending a social sciences high school where she studied English, and graduated in 2015.
2015–present: The X Factor: Lashardia, breakthrough, and Introducing[]
Despite initially wanting to pursue music as simply a hobby, Parvo decided to make it into her career after being rejected from all the universities she applied to. In 2015, she auditioned for season two of The X Factor: Lashardia. She was consistent, never placing in the bottom 2 or 3, and ended up as the runner-up.
Following the show, Parvo was signed to Akai Music Group by her mentor Zaras Abdulöfarwa, who claimed he saw the same potential in her he saw in Olga Davorcha. Later in the year, she released her debut single "Song of the Summer", which became a moderate hit in Lashardia, Adoriam, and Pesa. Her debut EP, Introducing, was released shortly after. In December 2016, she was confirmed to be a participant in Mösikalifestivali 2017, with the song "Maybe I Like It". She qualified directly from her semi-final to the final, where she placed third.
Personal life[]
Parvo resides in the Tenichi district of Ubenmoor and has been in a relationship with Khan since their time on The X Factor: Lashardia. She holds dual citizenship to Lashardia and Adoriam, and speaks both languages fluently.
