Danika Sofia Kletögiter (born 30 April 1998), better known as Danika K, is a Lashardian singer and songwriter.
K first entered the music industry in 2008 at the age of ten, when she began posting videos of her performing popular Lashpop hits to YouTube. Eventually, in 2013 she was signed to Akai Music Group. Her debut single "Rooftop" was released the following year and became a number-one hit in Lashardia. Her first studio album Ten Years Old was released in 2016.

Early life[]
Danika Kletögiter was born on 30 April 1998 in the Elsker district of Ubenmoor. Her father Klet is a musician who has performed in Ubenmoor-based punk bands since the 80s, while her mother Fridrika is a primary school music teacher and former professional songwriter. She has a younger sister named Anya.
K attended primary school in Elsker, where she excelled in music and performed heavily in musical theatre throughout her childhood. In 2008, she began posting videos of herself performing popular Lashpop songs. As of January 2016, her channel has over 1,000,000 subscribers. K graduated from primary school in 2013, and opted to not attend high school due to her growing career.
2013–present: Breakthrough and Ten Years Old[]

K was signed to Akai Music Group in 2013, at fifteen-years-old. After graduating from primary school, she began working on her debut studio album full-time. The following year, her debut single "Rooftop" was released. The song was a downtempo minimalist Lashpop song influenced by R&B and Lashardian hip hop. "Rooftop" went on to reach number-one on the Lashardian singles chart and was certified 3x platinum.
In mid-2015, K revealed that her debut studio album would be titled Ten Years Old, alluding to when she posted her first YouTube video and kickstarted her music career. The album will be released in early-2016. It was preceded by the singles "Never Forget Me" and "Shut Up and Drive". The album was released in March 2016, and reached the top three in three countries. After its release, the album's fourth single "Bad Boys" was released.
Personal life[]
K currently resides in Elsker with her family. She has stated that she chose the stage name "Danika K" because she did not want to reveal her full name on the Internet, and the name just stuck. Her parents Klet and Fridrika have collaborated frequently with K on her debut album. She earned her high school education equivalency diploma (HSEED) in 2016.
