Linus Klair Amirchi (born 1 June 1978), better known by his stage name 555, is a Lashardian rapper, songwriter, and record producer, best known for being the lead rapper of the Lashardian hip hop group MegaRotz.
Life and career[]
Early life[]
555 was born as Linus Amirchi on 1 June 1978 in Santa Maria, Gortula, Pesa. He was raised by his single mother Katrina who worked at a nail salon. At the age of 5, him and his mother moved from Pesa to Vershando, Mortasland where they lived in a heavily-Pesan neighborhood.
Growing up, 555 was lower class and him and his mother received welfare checks from the government. He attended primary school in Vershando, and went on to attend a performing arts high school there as well, where he formed MegaRotz.
Work with MegaRotz[]
In 1995, while in high school, he formed the Lashardian hip hop group MegaRotz along with his friends Little Bird and Kraze. At their high school, they performed various gigs, including their graduation dance. After their graduation in 1996, they moved to Ubenmoor to pursue a music career.
In Ubenmoor, the group was originally unsuccessful in their music career, performing very few gigs and being rejected from several record labels. After six years of trying, they caught the attention of record producer Sox. Sensing something was missing, he added vocalist Malisa to the group and signed them as a quartet to Akai Music Group.
The group later released the albums BE BiG in 2004, Glamorous in 2006, and The Fother Muckers in 2010, all producing hit singles. In 2010, Malisa left the group to pursue a solo career. MegaRotz later revealed the albums Candlelight in 2013 and Me & My Friends in 2015, as a trio.
Personal life[]
555 is of black Pesan descent and identifies as a Muslim. He resides in his hometown Vershando. His first language is Pesan, despite also speaking Lashardian and English fluently. He has been friends with bandmate Kraze since the two were six years old.
